Serving Ministries
Thanks for being interested in joining one of our serving ministries! Serving is a pivotal component of what it means to follow Jesus. At our church, we believe that the ministry of the church should not be reserved for a few professionals, but it is to be done by the whole church. Take a look at the different options below, and email us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
Village Kids
Village Kids is dedicated to the discipleship of children ages 0 to grade 5. You can serve as a lead teacher, assistant teacher, or caregiver in our nursery or classes, which take place during Sunday services. All Village Kids volunteers will go through a background check and screening process.

Youth Group
Our Youth Group is for children in 6th-12th grade. You can volunteer by serving at our biweekly Youth Nights on Fridays from 7-9:30pm. All volunteers will go through a background check and screening process.
Ernest and Joy Scalabrin lead this team. Fill out the Serving Interest Form if you are interested.
Hospitality
The Hospitality Team seeks to create a safe and welcoming atmosphere and to connect guests to the life of the church. This team is responsible for preparing the building during the Sunday Service, taking attendance, and greeting visitors.

Music
The goal of the Music Team is to foster a culture of worship through music. The Music Team usually meets on Sundays at 8:00am to rehearse for service.

Sound
The Sound Team serves the Sunday gathering by setting up the stage, managing the stage and overseeing the overall sound level throughout service. The Sound team sets up the stage before the rehearsal on Sunday and joins the Praise Team for the rehearsal at 8:00am on Sundays.

Media
The Media Team seeks to provide technological assistance for Sunday gatherings. This team plays videos and slides in our sanctuary and occasionally assists with the sound board.

Facilities
The Facilities Team cares for the physical buildings we meet in for worship and fellowship. This is a project-based team that oversees maintenance, repairs, building projects, and long-term vision for the Village Church facilities.

Mercy Ministry
The Mercy Ministry Team responds to needs requests from within our church and in the greater Hampden community in the hopes of restoring people to long-term self-sustainable physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

Missions Committee
The Missions Committee aims to spur the congregation towards love for the nations and finishing the Great Commission amongst unreached peoples.
We meet monthly to pray for global missions partners and pray during service, host special events to raise awareness for mission work and organize follow-ups/short-term trips to visit our global partners. Past events have included speaker events, service auctions, volunteer work with internationals, and hosting visiting missionaries. We also seek to provide community and support to those who are discerning about going overseas one day.
The time commitment for this committee is about 2 hours a month.

Safety Team
The Safety Team is a group within the church body who plays a critical role in ensuring that the church is a safe and welcoming environment for all its partners and visitors. The team members accomplish this by being willing to help in critical situations, such as medical emergencies, fire evacuations, and intrusions.

Finance Team
The finance team is dedicated to counting offerings, managing the churches financial accounts and budget, and other financial projects such as year end tax donation letters. We work together on paying bills, coming up with ideas on how the church can utilize additional savings about once a month, and answer financial questions to our finance inbox and cut reimbursement checks as needed. If you like finances, data or just willing, please consider serving on this team.
