Lottie Moon Christmas Offering

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, he said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20). We at the Village Church Hampden believe that one of the primary responsibilities of the church today is to preach the gospel around the world so that all may have the opportunity to follow Jesus.

One of the ways we do this is by contributing to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Since 1845, the International Mission Board (IMB) has been partnering with churches to financially support thousands of missionaries to live and work among those around the world with little to no access to the gospel. In 2019, IMB missionaries brought 89,325 people to Christ for the first time, trained 18,598 local pastors, and helped to start 12,368 new churches around the world. 100% of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering goes directly to these global efforts.

Every December, our church collects offerings from our church members and makes a collective donation to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. If you’d like to contribute, you can do so in a few ways.

  • Mail a check written to “Village Church” to PO Box 4822, Baltimore, MD 21211, with an attached a note saying “Lottie Moon”.
